Major Activities of IQAC
- The IQAC facilitates the creation of a learner-centered environment conducive for quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process. It initiates usage of a number of innovative teaching learning methods
- The Principal, & IQAC Co-ordinator document the various programmes and activities leading to quality improvement that are being carried out every year.
- The goals and objectives are made known to the freshers during the Orientation conducted at the beginning of the academic year.
- Guest lectures are organized to update the teacher educators on the innovative teaching practices that could be adopted by them.
- The IQAC organizes inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars, National and State level on quality related themes.
- The IQAC of the college co-ordinates the various quality-related activities, adoption and dissemination of best practices.
- It provides a sound basis for decision-making to improve institutional functioning, internal communication and planning of activities.
- It acts as a dynamic system for quality changes in the institution.
- The IQAC creates its exclusive window on its institutional website, to report on its activities.
- Every academic year begins with an orientation course to enhance the communication skills and leadership qualities of the students. (14th and 15th July.2011, 16th and 17th Aug.2012, 17th and 18th July. 2013, 3rd and 4th July. 2014)
- The students are encouraged to work as a team as well as independently in academic activities, activities of the camp and sports.
- World Population Day was celebrated on 11th July 2014.
- Workshop was organized on preparation of TLM 9th Aug 2014
- Stakeholders relationships- The various stake holders readily access to various information on organizational performance through active Parent Teachers Association, (15.03.14) Alumni Association (19.04.14), Seminars, and Campus Interviews.
- Inter departmental (21nd and 22nd March.2014) and Inter collegiate cultural competitions are conducted every year.(7.3.2014)
- Life Skills Programme (7th,8th and 9th of July 2014) programmes are organized by the IQAC.
- Extension programmes such as Awareness on Voting Rights at Cheyyalur Village (Mar.3rd to 24th), International Literacy Day Celebration at Cheyyalur Village (8th Sep 2014)

- The library of the college is well-equipped with standard books in all disciplines pertaining to the B.Ed course and a large number of Reference books i.e. Dictionaries, Encyclopedia, Dictionaries of different subjects, Thesaurus, and many research theses. Periodicals, magazines and dailies are also available. Books on personality development and general knowledge are numerous. Books on objective type examinations, Teachers Eligibility Test, Entrance examination, Face your Interviews, Childrens books Life skills books, Books on general Health and hygiene, Books on Jokes and Riddles, Entertainments, are also Stored in large number both in English and Tamil.
